Erica Cooper received a B.Sc. degree and M.Eng. degree both in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA, USA, in 2009 and 2010, respectively. She received a Ph.D. degree in computer science from Columbia University, New York, NY, USA, in 2019. Since 2019, she has been a Project Researcher with the National Institute of Informatics, Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. Her research interests include statistical machine learning and speech synthesis. Dr. Cooper’s awards include the 3rd Prize in the CSAW Voice Biometrics and Speech Synthesis Competition, the Computer Science Service Award from Columbia University, and the Best Poster Award in the Speech Processing Courses in Crete.
